U.S. Senate Race in Ohio Headed for Blowout

Bush is more popular in Ohio than Barry Obama now. Miss him yet?

U.S. Senate Race in Ohio Headed for Blowout: "A new Quinnipiac poll in Ohip shows Rob Portman (R) with a commanding lead over Lee Fisher (D) among likely voters in the U.S. Senate race, 55% to 35%.

Key finding: President Obama now has a 60% to 38% disapproval rating in the state.

Said pollster Peter Brown: 'Likely voters in Ohio, as is the case nationally, are angry at the status quo and with Democrats controlling Congress and the White House. Fisher is taking it on the chin from those who are trying to send a message to the White House. A Democrat who is losing among women likely voters by 8 points is a candidate in trouble.'"
