Poorest Americans Are The Most Leveraged

Americans are overleveraged if you look at current Debt/Income ratios versus where they've been historically. There is some nuance to this statistic, however. When you break out the ratio by income distribution, you find that the poorest Americans are the most indebted. This should not come as a surprise, but it forces a reassessment of some of the ramifications for discretionary spending going forward.
