Our Commander In Chief

Throughout his presidential campaign, Obama emphasized that the war in Iraq was a distraction, and that the real war on al-Qaeda and the Taliban needed to be fought in Afghanistan. This was the preferred way for liberals, who never think the U.S. should ever stand up for its interests anywhere at anytime, to try and appear hawkish, even though it was totally disingenuous.

Once he became President, Obama reiterated that the military's effort in Afghanistan was crucial as part of the war against terrorism. He made speech after speech making this point. He handpicked General McChrystal to be the commander there.

Now, while our soldiers are fighting and dying, the man who is supposed to be our Commander in Chief, is doing NOTHING.

Here is a quote from Instapundit:

The towers fell in New York on 9/11/01, Kabul fell to American led forces on 11/14/01. That’s 65 days.

President Obama’s hand-picked replacement commander in Afghanistan, GEN McChrystal, delivered his Afghanistan war plans to President Obama on 8/30/09, and President Obama hasn’t acted on his General’s recommendations as of today, 11/11/09. That’s 73 days, and waiting.
